We love your store and love stopping on our way from the city to our little piece of paradise at the lake. Your fresh eggs are the best, and we tried the cinnamon rolls and they were GREAT! Meant to stop on the way back on Sunday but didn't get on the road in time. I think you are doing great, we love the little store, can't think of anything to add that we need. I know you are going to be adding beef so good steaks on the way to the lake are always a possibility.

Thanks for being so friendly. We hope to see you at the Outdoor Concert at Shadys in Ivy Bend on Sunday late afternoon on Memorial Weekend.

Well, it only seems fitting to update this blog.
Walter returned to us 3 weeks ago, in the form of a 10 week old black lab! He is the most darling puppy ever and it seemed fitting to call him Wally in memory of our old friend. Maybe I can talk Bill into posting his picture?

Diane and I hope that you keep going strong for many, many years to come. We love your store and we love how you make us feel when we stop by. We hope that you'll still be in business when we move down to our little place permanently.

We don't know what it would be like to go to our weekend place without stopping by the Split Rail first. It's just the perfect way to start off our weekend.
